Summer is just around the corner- so close I can feel it (almost)...can you? May has been quite a busy and hectic month to say the least.

• Memorial Day Weekend is rapidly approaching. Cannot believe it is already next Monday! Check out my recommendations for packing your bag.
• Warby Parker, the eyewear brand we all love, is also prepping for warmer weather with the release of their summer eyewear collections. I am loving all the different shades of tortoise!
• Summer Travels- have you been to Portugal? Did you love it?
• I cannot get enough of passing spring afternoons at Ladurée in SoHo with pastries and coffee. Definitely a must do if you are visiting the city soon!
• This week my Pinterest board feature is men's fashion. So many good looks and new summer collections, I am just dying to shop :)

5 Random Monday Thoughts

It is funny how a little sun can make you feel quite happy. As I write this, we are on our third day of 80 degree weather...its been much needed! Not to mention the month of May is flying by.

• Hard to believe that it is my last day of college classes...for at least the near future. Where does time go?!
• Getting in to the summer mode and inspired by the Ralph Lauren catalog featuring images from the south of France and Capri. All the beach towels are beautiful and geometric. I found some great alternatives at a site I almost forgot about- One Kings Lane
• To enjoy this day of beautiful weather, I am embracing a completely east coast style today...loving it!
• Have you been getting a lot of emails lately about Italian style? I always have loved it, but recently noticed a push for it. The "Italian Casual Style" boutique on Gilt has some great pieces. I personally love the Valentino trousers.
• Not sure I will be able to travel this summer, but looking for ideas. Where are you headed this summer?

It's great to be sitting here writing this on a sunny morning- it seems like they have become a rarity here in the northeast. The Kentucky Derby was this past Saturday. I would love to hear about if you went, went a party, and especially what your wore!

• In the home stretch of school which means lots of projects and deliverables. Cannot believe it is all coming to a rapid end.
• Summer is on my mind and Ralph Lauren is having a private sale right now. I love all the beach towels, especially this art deco one.
• El Vez just opened in New York (if you are familiar with the one in Philadelphia) and I checked it out. Must say, I am definitely partial to the Philadelphia one, but Stephen Starr does not disappoint!
• I need to start thinking about graduation gift ideas. Watches always seem appropriate. Movado is on RueLaLa- thoughts on the brand? Passé or still cool?
• Since it is Cinco de Mayo (any plans?!) I thought I would do my "food" board as the featured Pinterest board. It has become more drinks than food- filled with great sounding sips!

Monday quickly came around once again. Even with a long weekend, it is just never enough time, especially when it was feeling like summer this weekend in the Northeast.

• Has anyone been to the Veuve Clicquot Polo hosted each year at Liberty State Park? Was it worth it...fun?
• I was never a huge fun of Gilt and similar websites, but recently they have been having some great sales and started browsing around again.
• Recently came across an amazing concept for luxury watches, Eleven James. Sounds like a potential graduation gift for me!
• I am interested in a wine club or wine delivery program- do you have any good recommendations or one that you use?
• The other week I featured one of my Pinterest boards, food. I thought it was fun and would occasionally feature others. Below is my favorite, the preppy board.

I am excited that we are getting ready to turn the calendars to April. March seemed to want to hold on to winter for yet another month, so here's to hoping that we finally turn to spring with April as we turn the calendar!

• I have been struggling with a phase of my life with what is, perhaps, the most uncertainty regarding the future that I have had to experience....have you had a phase like this? What did you do to get through it?
• I had a wonderful trip to SuitSupply in Philadelphia this weekend- more on that later!
• Have you seen The Book Thief? Watched it this weekend and highly recommend it.
• I mentioned cocktails the other week, and have been pinning quite a few great recipes recently- Check out my food board to see what I think sounds good!

We welcome yet another week, one week closer to spring and warm weather! March is moving along quite quickly I must say.

• If you are in the Northeast, I'm sure I speak for us all when I say that even that one spring like day this weekend was amazing! Such a tease.
• I splurged quite a bit this week, and added some new pieces to my spring wardrobe. I am especially exited about being able to wear these new linen pants.
• Spring break is coming up rapidly. While many friends are off to Cancun and similar destination, I will just be enjoying some relaxing time off. Are you traveling for spring break?
• For the guys: I was recently introduced to a brand called, Suit Supply. They have a few stores across the globe and ecommerce as well. I am highly impressed with the quality/prices and am loving their campaign aesthetics. 
• I have been in quite a foodie mood lately and discovering amazing looking recipes on Pinterest. Dying to try this tomato tart- now all I need is the skills in the kitchen to make it!

After a tease of spring weather which was much welcomed, the polar vortex is taking another plunge. Spring, can you get here to stay? 

• Margaritas, champagne, sun, and the Rittenhouse Hotel- ingredients that made for a great weekend.
• It is time to start thinking about spring fashion. I must say, I am loving the "urban safari" collection from Ralph Lauren. A lot of great transitional pieces to move from season to season. 
• I am always on the hunt for a good new scent, and recently fell in love with "Colonia" from the famous Italian parfumer, Aqua di Parma. I recommend the body lotion.
• On the hunt for a new cocktail recipe- share your favorite with me!
• So many shows coming out on Bravo...they all look a little out there to me. Have you seen any of the new shows coming out?

We are off to another snowy, cold week in the northeast. This winter has been downright brutal with storms nearly every 3 days....cannot stop thinking about summer on the horizon!

• Its officially fashion week here in New York. Have you been following the shows? I went to the Antonio Azzuolo presentation, and have a few other things planned before the week ends. 
• Valentine's Day is Friday...not prepared! I am never big into holidays like this, but feel like I should do something this year. Will share gift ideas later in the week!
• Have you been following the Olympics? I loved the opening ceremony outfits from France...well done Lacoste!
• Following @LTPreppyGlasses on Twitter to stay up to date with posts on the blog and other musings!

Hello, February! Glad to see that January quickly departed us, meaning one less month between now and spring/summer!

• While January may be gone, this Monday is starting off with yet another snow storm in here in the northeast....this is getting crazy!

Glad to say that January is almost officially over. One cold month down and only a few more to get through until spring and warm weather....but who is counting?

• Today marks the official start of my last semester ever. It it kind of weird, but I could not take it all in as I overslept an hour and literally ran out of my apartment within 15 minutes...lazy day chic?
• Sale season has been very hit or miss this year. I usually count on the Bergdorf Goodman "Grand Finale", but was quite disappointed in their selection this season. Needless  to say, I did a lot of damage with the end of season sales at Mr. Porter and Jeffreys in New York.....have you picked up any good sale finds?
• The countdown to the olympics is really getting down now. I always love to see the official outfits sponsored by Ralph Lauren. The signature opening ceremony cardigan is already sold out, but I love this turtleneck...so preppy and perfect for winter.
• I recently had dinner at Gemma, a favorite here in the city. I just cannot stress how great it is, and never disappoints. You must try when visiting the city!
• Finally, Skimbaco has released the first edition of a digital magazine, and would love for you all to check it out here!

Its been quite a Monday already...here's to hoping for a good week!

Hard to believe we have left Thanksgiving and the weekend behind and entered into December. Only 23 days until Christmas!

• I hope everyone had a relaxing Thanksgiving, enjoying time with friends and family
• School is ending earlier than normal which is a plus, however, the next 2 weeks are going to be insane.
• I enjoyed a massage treatment on Black Friday at the spa at the Ritz Carlton-perhaps more to come on that later!
• I need to get in the holiday season and start shopping for some gifts...always so hard to pick! Don't forget to check out a few of my selections for men with my gift guide

I have been focusing a lot of fashion during the month of October, and realized I have not just posted some random thoughts in a while. A nice change as we slowly say goodbye to October. 

• It is hard to believe it is almost Halloween and November. Fall is going fairly quickly- seems like the weather just started allowing me to wear sweaters and Barbours.
• Even if people fragment around me, I realized I will always stay true to who I am.
• Oddly enough, I have not shopped at J.Crew in a while, however, I am loving all the newest arrivals. Especially all the suede elbow patches like this sweater.
• I might be traveling to Paris in March. Has anyone been during this time...what weather could be expected?
• Sometimes life has those ruts, and I think I may be in one currently. I have been focusing a lot on trying to put everything "into perspective" for a sense of clarity.

• It has been an incredibly hot July, and I want it to end! We have had 100+ degree weather here in the city for almost a week straight...it's quite miserable!
• Weekends go even more quickly than normal when you have a friend staying with you- as if they could not go any more quickly. I cannot believe its already Monday.
• There are SO many amazing sales going on in store and online right now...Hello 75% off at Bergdorfs
• Counting down the days until my departure for the French Riviera that I officially booked!!
• If you have been following my blog for some time, I'd like to know your thoughts on how it has developed as I feel it is in another stage of growth...exiting...but I want to make sure I stay on point.

The summer is definitely flying by. I cannot believe its already July!

• With a demanding internship all my 4th of July plans fell through. What is everyone else up to?
• New York can get to be SO stressful sometimes, especially in the heat of the summer. Im looking to make a mini weekend escape sometime soon!
• We all know my love for Kiel James Patrick. I really love this nautical bracelet for summer. I think its a must have.
• Looking for good summer drink recipes- any recommendations for a go-to summer cocktail?
• Have time for summer reading? This book sounds like an interesting summer read for those interested in fashion

June is officially underway and so is summer. June is personally one of my favorite months, but it always seems to fly by so quickly. Hopefully it decides to slow down a bit and it filled with great times!

• We just ended a little heat wave here in the Northeast- thankfully its cooled down because running around a city and trying to look good when its nearly 90 is almost impossible!
• Today marks the official start of my summer internship program- pretty nervous!
• I got a lot of good shopping done over the past week. A lot of department stores such as Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, and Saks are having designer sales. Nows the time to stock up on sweaters and winter apparel that has gone on sale!
• You can now turn your instagram photos into cards! Skimbaco is hosting a giveaway with Origrami, the company that makes it possible. It is super cool!
• Getting into summer mode means thinking about vacations- where is everyone headed this summer? Im hoping to get a lot one beach trip in somewhere among my busy intern schedule.

Monday, we meet yet again. You seem to sneak up so quickly after Friday! The weather seems to be a recurring theme for me, but I can't help but note that it is now April 29th, and I'm looking out the window to grey skies, rain, and 50 degree temperatures. Where is spring?!

• The end of semester pressure is about to be in full swing
• Have you heard of Basel World? I've recently been following the luxury watch event in Switzerland and its quite amazing!
• Who's excited for the Kentucky Derby coming up this weekend?!

Hello, April! We're getting ever closer to summer and warm weather, I can feel it.

• Every weekend is quick, but did any one else seem to think this past weekend was extremely quick?! Before I knew it, its Monday morning and I have unfinished work.
• The weather needs to make up its mind here in the northeast.
• I had a very French Easter with crepes and Veuve Clicquot. What did everyone else do?
• My pinterest feed has been filled with so many amazing travel photos. I want to get back on a plane right now and escape for a while!

• It's a real monday for me- waking up early and school all day. So long spring break, you were much too quick.
• Can you believe its snowing here today?! A lot of us in the Northeast are wondering if spring is ever going to come around.
• I recently purchased an iPhone 5 because I had no other option- I found it drops signal and drops between 4G and LTE ALL the time...anyone else experiencing this?
• Over my break I got to explore Spain and enjoy Mediterranean weather. Once I have time to gather all my photos, I will definitely share. Below is a sneak peak.

The days are now officially longer, spring you are almost here. Dare I say: summer, you are right behind her.

• We all have the same relationship with Apple: love their products, they break, they wont fix them. I finally just decided to buy a new iphone after months of trying to get them to give me one. Hello, iphone 5. Any good case recommendations?
• Distractions have been SO abundant in my life recently. Focus is hard to come by.
• Sample Sales are a way of life here in New York. I loved this article about sales with cult followings.
• Spring break is just around the corner...I think it is much needed. Jetting off to Europe on Friday! :)
• New York is a different world at 730am on a Saturday morning- quiet and slightly calm:

February has been quite an interesting month...anyone agree? My verdict is: Bye February, March please show up!

• I am so thankful its a long weekend this time around. Getting up after 11 has been much needed. Waiting to do all my work, on the other hand, was not such a good idea!
• It feels like I am living in Chicago recently rather than New York. Its so incredibly windy here! 
• This past weekend definitely showed some sides of friends I didnt want to see. Moments like these are always bound to happen now and then, so hopefully there will not be any more for a bit.
• I will be in Barcelona in less than a month!
• This weekend has seemed quite long, but Valentine's Day kicked it off last Thursday. I must say mine was quite nice! Veuve Clicquot, Ladurée, and lots of cupcakes....what more would I want?!
