Plage Beau Rivage Nice

The South of France is filled with miles and miles of beaches. From large stones to fine sand, these beaches are simply beautiful and the choices can some times seem overwhelming. I have experienced the beaches of Nice multiple times now, both public and private.

The public beaches of Nice are great, but be prepared for the large stones as they can be quite uncomfortable after a few hours. On a recent trip to Nice, I decided to experience one of the many private beach options along the Promenade des Anglais. I had heard great things about Plage Beau Rivage and had read great reviews about the beach as well.

Let me just say that one trip to Beau Rivage turned into 4! If you are looking for the experience a private beach has to offer, I highly recommend trying Beau Rivage. The iconic blue and white strip umbrella and chairs line this section of the beach. I opted for front row chairs which do come at a premium over the other rows, but I do recommend the unobstructed view, especially during high season.

Visting a private beach for the day will definitely be an expense, but the comfort of the chair, the available menu, the service, and amenities all make for a very enjoyable afternoon. A chair, towel, and umbrella will run about 25 euros per person. Full details and reservation are available online.

I recommend the Greek salad for a nice afternoon meal paired with a large bottle of rosé to enjoy throughout the day. You really cannot go wrong!

Jaguar Partners with Thomas Pink

There are a lot of things to love that are British- scones, tea, Harrods, Barbour. In this instance, it as a partnership between two iconic British luxury marks, Jaguar and Thomas Pink. The partnership is centered activities that will engage the consumer with the brands while highlight the attributes of these companies, namely contemporary design, luxury materials, and refined craftsmanship.

“Thomas Pink is a natural fit to partner with the Jaguar brand in North America. With meticulous attention to detail and progressive luxury products, the two iconic British brands boast a shared tradition of excellence which can be seen in both Jaguar’s transformed model lineup and in Thomas Pink’s crafted fashions,” said Jeff Curry, Brand Vice President, Jaguar North America.

The partnership is launched during BritWeek, a series of events celebrating the fusion of creativity between the UK and California. The brands joined forces at the the finale party hosted by Jaguar May 2 at the London Hotel in Hollywood. Additionally, May 9-10 Jaguar will be hosting a special version of its driving academy while Thomas Pink hosts a pop-up style academy and tailoring workshop at the welcome reception.

I think this collaboration works perfectly with the aesthetics of both brands. I envision myself wearing a tailored, brightly striped Thomas Pink sport shirt while cruising around in a Jaguar. Gilt is currently having a boutique featuring Thomas Pink shirting starting at $79- the perfect way to get into the spirit of this collaboration!

Stylish Luggage: WANT Les Essentiels de La Vie

For the person that loves to travel, luggage is almost as important as the trip. Luggage can say a lot about your personality and your style. There are so many options when it comes to luggage and travel bags these days. WANT Les Essentiels de la Vie caught my eye a few seasons ago with their simple, understated totes and bags. I loved their totes, so when they launched a trolley luggage set, I instantly fell in love.

The company's logo is a running man, suggesting that they are always in motion. I love the simplicity and sleek aesthetic of the new rolling, carry-on luggage made in collaboration for the 4th edition of Le Cabinet de Curiosités of Thomas Erber. The new line of luggage was inspired by the first bag the co-founders created, the Trudeau Briefcase. The DeGaulle S4 Trolley embodies all the same things, namely function, subtle luxury, and sustainability.

I also loved the inspiration drawn from Paris, as it is one of my favorite cities. The co-founders also described the bag as the perfect carry on for the flight from Charles de Gaulle to JFK....who would not want to be taking that flight? :)

The trolly features an interior card pocket, padded laptop pocket, mesh pocket, and an exterior clip for extra bags, making it perfect for those of us that always tend to pack on the heavier side. The Italian and French calf leather truly give it a sense of luxury.

I would not mind receiving one of these trolleys as a holiday gift. Luggage makes a great gift option for either men or women...definitely adding to the list! It can be purchased at Maison Kitsuné at the stylish NoMad Hotel in NYC or via online.

From the Lab

I was recently exposed to an amazingly convenient service- beauty delivered to your door from From the Lab. This company partners with some of the best cosmetic labs around the world to acquire the most ground breaking products before high-end beauty brand introduce them to the market. This means amazing prices- members of From the Lab get access to new products at up to 80% off retail prices before these products are available to the mass market.

Labs are located around the world in Switzerland, Italy, France, and the United States. After procuring a new formula, it is brought to From the Lab for review by consultants and experts. Only a selection of plant-based and synthetic ingredients are used.

Finding a good facial cleanser can be difficult. I struggle to find something that leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed, but does not leaving an oily coating or weigh it down. I was introduced to the AM/PM Cleanser No. 586 from From the Lab. This new, ground-breaking formula was created around the idea of a water-free cleanser. Yes, thats correct, washing your face with tap water can actually be removing moisture from the skin. European women have been utilizing water-free cleanser for quite some time now.

The cleanser is very simple- just place some of the formula on to a cotton swab and cleanse face in the morning and evening. This cleanser features ingredients such as winged kelp, tomato stem cell cultures, and organically cultivated peppermint floral water to hydrate, protect, and soothe and relax the skin.

I have been using the cleanser for about 3 weeks now and love how my skin feels soft and is staying hydrated even with the weather turning quite cold here in New York. I use it in the morning and do not notice any oil generated on my skin shortly after use which is very important for me.

You can join From the Lab and get access to amazing products delivered straight to your door for $19.95 a month. This includes full 30-day supplies of one, two, or three products the first week of every month.

Note: This post was made possible by From the Lab, however, all opinions expressed are my own.
