Sporty Spring Look

The casual, contemporary looks are gaining popularity in the fashion world. This style exudes an effortless, downtown, relaxed short of air. Specifically, I have been loving the trend of tailored and detailed fleece pants- an updated, fashionable alternative to the otherwise undesirable sweat pant. Some may call them "designer sweats", but styled correctly, there is nothing traditional about these fleece pants.

Designers such as Philip Lim and Alexander Wang have been incorporating stylish fleece pants into their collections for a few seasons. This style of pant is an alternative to jeans in some settings, and not to mention highly comfortable! While I do not tend to put complete "downtown" looks together, I added a preppy flair to a pair of fleece moto pants by Ralph Lauren Black Label.

The sleek, slim-fitting silhouette of the pant gives this look an overall modern, updated aesthetic. I paired the dark navy pant with a cream polo. This look is absolutely effortless to say the least. Suede red tennis shoes add a pop of color and interest to the outfit. A nautical bracelet infuses more preppy aesthetic. This outfit would be perfect for running to the tennis court, a relaxed outside lunch, or running weekend errands.

Have you been wearing the fleece pant trend?

Patched Up

Warm weather and spending time in the suburbs calls for one thing: preppy to the max. Unless I'm running around the Upper East Side, this outfit would surely get looks in the city. Thats the one thing I love about the suburbs: its classic, preppy style.
The summer patch print from Lilly Pulitzer's summer collection is one of my favorite prints. Naturally I had to have the shorts.

Feeling Casual: What I Wore

Its one of those day where I dont feel like putting that much effort into my outfit. This could be caused by the exhausting day I had yesterday, or the fact that you just never know when its going to rain around here anymore. Still, I like to look semi-presentable when stepping out the door.

What I wore:

tshirt: Banana Republic
Sweatshirt: Rag&Bone
Jeans: True Religion
Bag: Louis Vuitton

Do you ever have days where you prefer to just be in sweatpants all day, but know that that would be kind of unacceptable?

Im now on Pinterest...I dont really have any idea what I'm doing yet, but you can find me HERE
